Current Lot A late 19th century spruce and maple violin, bearing label for Andreas Guarnerius, within a fitted case by Hill of London with two piece figured back and labelled 'Andreas Guarnerius fecit Cremona Sub titulo Sanctae Terefiae 1717', with double purfling and rosewood tuning pegs, in a custom made well fitted burr walnut case, the ivory maker's cartouche signed 'W.E Hill & Sons, Violin Makers, 38 New Bond Street, London', the plush green velvet and burr veneered interior with three lidded compartments and two bows length of back 36cm, width 21cm
